About ZenBabies
"This project was born from the will to help build a new world, with more love, more peace and more balance"
Sound, vibrations and music are a part of our lives. They have the power to touch our skin, travel through our bodies, make us experience different sensations and take us to other dimensions within ourselves and outside ourselves.
Bringing together the best of two worlds, Belgian composer and producer Marc Requilé, who has a long internationally acclaimed music career, decided to put together in a single project his two biggest passions: Music and Holistic Therapy. It was a long term wish for him, and when he found out his wife was pregnant of their first child, he sat down and started putting into sound his feelings, the magical sounds he wanted their baby to hear, all the love, peace and protection he wanted to transmit to her - and Zen Babies was born.
First he composed the moms' cd, he wanted Catarina to transmit to the little being inside her all the feelings that these specially put together sounds and vibrations gave her – he wanted to communicate with his baby from the first moment possible, still inside the womb. Then he joined to his compositions the sounds of the womb itself, and the real sound of the mothers heart, recorded from inside the womb, and the babies cd was born – he wanted his little baby to hear, after she was born, the exact same themes she heard while inside the belly – it was his way of telling her: "welcome my little star, it’s ok, your are here but you are safe, I will take care of you, don’t be afraid".
He based his work on ancient eastern knowledge from the sutras, Tibetan singing bowls and mantras combined with meditation techniques and yoga. By combining acoustic instruments together with the most advanced electronic recording and mixing techniques he could create themes that allow a complete relaxation and balancing of mind, body and spirit.
All themes were originally written and created in Portugal, where Marc has been living since 2005.
Fullmoon and Little Star The first two cds in this collection are equal in their genesis: each one has 4 themes of 12 minutes, to listen to throughout the day, at different moments:
- waking up, awakening of the body and mind, the energetic grounding to mother earth, getting ready for a new day;
- the theme to listen to during the day, that will allow you to relax and temporarily escape from stress and agitation to a quieter place, where you can regain energies;
- the theme that makes the transition from the end of an active day, the return to your home, your safe haven, changing environment and energies;
- And finally, the theme to fall asleep – the total relaxation, letting go of all the tensions, and finding complete peace.
These themes were created in the exact periods of the day they are destined to be heard, for a matter of energetic balance and precision (from Yin to Yang and from Yang to Yin). All sounds, vibrations and frequencies used were carefully chosen given their purpose (the frequencies were adjusted to allow the full usage of the cd even at a low volume, and to prevent any harm to the babies).
Fullmoon was created to be listened to by pregnant women throughout the pregnancy, alone, through headphones, or sharing with the baby still inside their womb (recent studies about pre-natal hearing confirm that babies have absolute hearing at the 24th week of gestation and remember and respond to the sounds that were heard more frequently during this period along the first year of their lives) – this way the mom will be strengthening the affective bonds with the baby, by establishing a way to communicate and sending him feelings of peace and wellbeing that are so important in this period.
In a time where stress and anxiety are becoming more common in our lives, it is of great importance to bring back some balance to our daily routine, particularly in such a special moment like breeding.
Because peaceful moms have happy babies!
Littlestar was made for babies to listen to after birth. Based on the Fullmoon cd, to which have been added real sounds from the womb and the mothers heart, and with frequencies adjusted to reproduce the muffled sound just as the baby hears it while inside, this cd intends to transport the baby back to the womb, reproducing all the sounds and vibrations that accompanied him for 9 months, and with them the feelings of peace, warmth, love and protection that involved him during this period.
Because peaceful babies are happy babies!
Soon to come: Milky Way
A cd for children between 1 and 3 years old based on the latest information and the need for music for Indigo and Crystal (*) children that are entering in large numbers our world as we speak. This new generation has a higher vibration than the one before and therefore has also new needs. We are making this new cd from the urge of these children to have music that fulfills them.
The significance of the names:
Zen – Harmony, peace of mind, body and spirit
Hinode – Sunrise
Hi - Day
Hinoiri - Sunset
Nemuri – To Sleep
Osanaga - Baby
